I thought I would share with you a bit about me and my story, and then what you can expect from being part of Feminine & Fierce.  Would that be ok?

I have been 25kg / 55lbs overweight, desperately seeking answers for a permanent solution.  I’ve literally avoided the bathroom mirror, turning my head away because I couldn’t stand the site of my own reflection.  

And I’ve also been through a messy divorce and come to the lowest place in my life I ever imagined possible.

So there is nothing even close to having it all together.  I’m just another girl moving through life like the next person.  

I founded Feminine & Fierce out of my own frustration, because I knew that I wasn't the only woman experiencing trouble changing my body, my mindset and my health.

As a certified nutritionist, a strength & body composition coach, and a retired Registered Nurse, I have a passion to help 40+ year old women get off the same yo-yo dieting cycle I was on for more than a decade.

If you are anything like me, you've tried to lose weight multiple times, and now that you are getting older, you feel like it is getting harder and harder.

You may even be wondering if it is at all possible for you.

Well, the good news is, yes it absolutely is. And I believe a huge part of this is identifying and addressing the way we think about ourselves.

Too often the one thing that lacks in our lives is our ability to have self regard and self belief.  

We focus on all the negatives in all the areas that we (in our own opinion) fail at.  We try and measure up to other women, other 'insta babes', other images of 'perfection', and then beat up on ourselves when we fall short. 

We see ourselves as too fat. Too skinny. Too ugly. Too whatever. You know how it goes...

My hope through Feminine & Fierce, is that I can help you find your value and your belief in yourself again.  That you find your true worth, and then make a decision to make positive change from that place, not from the place of lack or inadequacy.

That when you define beauty, you are part of that definition.

That you realise the immeasurable value you hold is within the very being of who you are – not in what you look like.

And that your self-worth is so evident that no time is wasted on negativity by this constant comparison that we seem to do on a daily basis.

So, your body is maturing.

You are over 40 and feel different to your younger years. And you're doubting if changing your body composition is even possible.

Close your eyes for just a moment, because I want to show you that age is just a number.

Imagine treating your body with the love and respect it deserves rather than tying your self worth to a body fat percentage or number on the scale. 

Imagine not obsessing about food because you have the knowledge and confidence to eat in a way that’s best for you and your body - no matter what your age. 

Imagine healing your relationship with food and learning how to nourish your body rather than fulfilling cravings. 

Imagine your self-talk and inner dialogue showing yourself more grace and compassion, as you begin the intentional journey to love the body you have been gifted to reside in.

My goal through Feminine & Fierce

My goal through Feminine & Fierce is to help women like yourself, from all across the globe, realise that you are enough as you are right now…

That it is never too late to start.

That you ARE strong.  

That you ARE beautiful.  

That you CAN have a strong body and not be obsessed with your external appearance, and still reap the rewards of all your hard work.

You CAN have a healthy relationship with food and move towards your weight loss goals, even as a woman over 40.

And I would be honoured to walk this road alongside you.

These workouts are designed to be done in the gym environment where you have plenty of equipment to use. They take only 30 minutes with each workout following on and building upon the previous.

To kick you off, I have given you 4 workouts. Enjoy!

Every time you train, it's not just workout - it is a commitment to becoming the healthiest, strongest version of yourself. Yep, sometimes we just don't feel like it. I get it. But if every time we didn't do something because we didn't want to, we wouldn't get very far at all.

Decide ahead of time WHEN you are going to workout. Schedule it in your calendar. Then do it...no matter how you are feeling.
