Training as a woman can feel complicated. We certainly have a lot more to factor into our whole equation than men do, but understanding our cycle, how our bodies best adapt to exercise, and knowing the best ways to achieve our goals, brings a lot of clarity.
It’s so good to know that our bodies cannot serve two masters: strength and endurance training at the same time will decrease your body’s adaptations to both and results in sub-optimal strength and muscle gains.
So if you are on a mission to work towards a lean, toned physique, this is so important to understand. And it’s nice to know you don’t have to punish your body with a gruelling cardio session to get the results you are after.
