Feeling unmotivated is a very common issue that stops us from kicking off our weight loss journey.
But a lack of motivation to start something (like exercise, or healthy eating), or to quit a bad habit like overeating, usually stems from a deeper issue.
It is usually because of what is known as the pleasure / pain paradigm.
Almost all of the choices we make every day are motivated by one of two things; the desire to avoid pain, or the desire for pleasure.
Everything that we want to do is something we have emotionally linked to pleasure.
Everything we try to avoid, is something we have linked to pain.
